Brilliant Photo:) I love how the center is so in focus! I shall definitely have to experiment with flower photography in summer. Inspiring!:D
Excellent...a perfect pic for the desktop wallpaper...your focus is praiseworthy! So much to learn in photography from you!!
What a beautiful contrast. The deep blue and the pretty yellow inside. Wonderful shot!
The rich vibrant colors are lovely to look at!! The details are so vivid it appears that I can touch the little yellow buds and sprouts. Beautiful photo indeed!!!!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! Beautiful detail and color! Stunning shot, Mari...love it ❤
Yes, definitely. I've been told it's also called Wild Iris. Either way, it's beautiful.
Thanks for the Stumble. I too love this flower for it's vibrant color.
Thank you, David. The yellow is amazing against the purple - the colors set each other off like fireworks.
I like the fireworks affect of these colors together :D
I'm glad you are following and learning! I love to teach.
I miss living in California when I could photograph flowers year round. Our winters are so bleak and rainy in Seattle!
This one's for you - "wild iris"! Beautiful flower with a wild side.
Thanks Bec - it's always so nice when they start blooming.
Me too! Thank you for your comment.
They are amazing. I left you a comment on your site.
They are beautiful at the edge of the woods. They add a gorgeous splash of color.
And years of photo classes and seminars plus an art degree. But I think anyone can take fantastic photos with any type of camera and minimal post edit work. Your yellow Friday Flower is stunning :D
This is just lovely, Mari. I will definitely join in the Flower Friday posting in the near future! I live in TN and our state flower is the purple iris. Nothing defines summer more than the fragrance of an iris, and their varying forms are so beautiful to look at. I am envious of your walking trails in the woods. I miss that, living out in the country and being able to walk in the woods. I hope you take more photos as y'all get those trails laid out!Dawn
Thank you for your comment. I'll definitely be taking more photos of the trails. :D
Gorgeous !! Love the color !!

LOVE the texture in the center of the photo. I feel like my hands would be yellow with pollen if I touched it. :)
Amazing pic. And a very interesting blog. will return for more. keep it goin;)
I once smelled a Lilly that had a center like this and walked around for hours with orange pollen on my nose lol.
Thank you Scribbler - hope you do return :D
