Pinktober Post - For The Cure

These photos were taken at an equestrian eventCowgirl Ride for The Cure, which took place several years ago. Notice the pink horse tack, ribbons, saddle pads, and pink paint on some of the horses. The girls had lots of fun decorating their horses and themselves for the Event. It was a fun day that raised money and awareness for breast cancer and The Cure.

All photos were taken with my Point & Shoot Camera set to "action".  I'd been out of photography for a few years and was rusty. Most of these are blurred.  But you always have to start, or restart, somewhere. So get your camera out, get clicking, and post some photos in your comment box for all of us to share.

But most of all remember Pinktober and do something, anything, that will help find a cure for breast cancer.

These girls and their moms worked so hard to make this a success. They spent months and months advertising, getting sponsors, and creating excitement to make this a big event with a big turnout. Yes - women and girls - ya' can't stop the power and force.

Anything particular in mind? I'll go check out the site. I have some time now that my collie is at the Vets for his surgery and in good hands.

I showed my horse, Mica, in a halter class. Had pink glitter on her face and rump :D Later rode her in a couple of events. Had her decked out in pink w/ me matching.

Hi mari, this is such a great event for a noble occasion. Horse riding must be a very popular sport in your area.
We are also actively doing something for the breast cancer society over here. Great horses, especially the first photo of the horse.

Thanks, Sailor.
