Magnificent Monday : Colors

Hi all and welcome to another Magnificent Monday:  a chance to kick of the week on a high note.

This week's theme is Colors!

A blue sky, fields of golden sunflowers, snow covered mountains, feeling blue even, azure blue oceans, rainbows or black and white photography - how would you interpret this week's theme?

I chose to put together a Color Harmony based on an Analogous color theme. Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. I love the vibrant excitement of this analogous mix.

Photography Tip: Using color schemes in photography is as important as using them in artwork. Color schemes can add interest, excitement, solitude or peace to your images. Using color schemes is very important in clothing worn in family photos. Look for color schemes in nature and take advantage of them when snapping your images. More on this in another post......

Thank you, Jim. I studied fine art and photography in college. Studying colors was of upmost importance.

I learned in art and photography college that I like them bright!

Thank you. It was a place for my hubby to rest and have a beer last summer when he was spreading bark. The chair is more comfy than it looks - esp. with beer in hand :D

Mari,  I just got my Nikon in,  and I'll be joining in on the fun shortly.  Still trying to find all the buttons, but getting there.  I'll catch up.  I wish to say your work is outstanding.  You have a wonderful eye for still life.

I know - lots of buttons. You might want to review some of my older posts for tips. I show some of the Nikon buttons in them. Glad you have a Nikon, I love mine :D

Very striking use of color. Especially like the contrast in the first photo. The blue chair just jumps at ya. Never seen such animation in a static inanimate object!

Thank you for the compliment. I love bright colors although much of my digital art has a vintage feel with softer colors.  The blue chair has been featured in a number of my photos :D
