Welcome to the Poe-a-tree Blog Event sponsored by Roy Durham. Here's the idea behind the Poe-a-tree Blog: Each blogger will post a verse to the poem topic and the links to the other participating blogs. Sounds like fun.
Per Roy, the theme of the poem is: “I am standing on a beach looking out to the horizon, what are my thoughts”. “What do I see, what do I feel, what is calling to me.” These are the questions to ask yourself and then write a verse. As many lines as you feel like.
Melissa Tandoc http://www.grazieadio.blogspot.com/ has the post position just prior to me, and Jan Neel http://jovanecatharticmusings.blogspot.com/ is just after me. We didn't collaborate so let's see how this goes!
Here's my contribution and the links to all participants is below my post. Hope you enjoy all the posts and please leave comments for everyone as you view this adventure in Poe-a-tree!
I pause at the ocean’s
edge
Open to my fate
The horizon looks
unreachable
And totally unbreachable
Should I swim out and trust in fate
Are you my gentle wave or my riptide

Oh I love your lines Mari... let's see how everybody threads his/her way into the sea... I love the image too...BELLISSIMA!
very good job love this line "The horizon looks unreachable
And totally unbreachable"
it shines
thank you and god bless
Thank you - I wanted lines that would fit this particular piece of digital art I made. :D
I can't wait to see what everyone else posts. It will be fun!
Thanks, Roy. Great idea you had with this.
Lovely Mari! I like how your first two lines mesh beautifully with the image. ❤
Thank you, Becky. As soon as Roy Durham gave us the idea for the lines to utilize I knew I had to use this digital art image I'd made last year.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate - this was great fun for me.
Your use of words and image work very well together!! There are no wasted words as they all help to form a clear mental picture...

Beautiful image with a lovely poem about looking at life with an open mind and trusting it to be wonderful and kind.
The beach my safe haven...As always...XOXOXO
I'm an eternal optimist! :D
Bongo - I clicked on your photo and enlarged it for viewing. It's wonderful! I love the lone gull on the beach contemplating life. Excellent work! Please keep posting your photos here for all to enjoy. I love the beach too. The sound of the waves is so comforting. :D
I love the picture and the poem, Mari. When I look at the ocean I also am awed at how vast it is. The "unreachable horizon" and the outstretched arms really bring it home.
I really love what you wrote. It makes me think about life, the adventure and the challenges and what adds or takes away. It's really great! The image you have there also is perfect. It speaks to me right now because of everything that I have going on. You're so creative!
Thank you. I thought this was a perfect photo for this blog tour.
I love your posts - you're such a talented writer. Your compliment on my writing is a real honor!
The muted blues soft and calm suggest a gentle wave.
Good question Mari - I hope those waves turned out to be your gentle wave : ) Loved being here as always.
Beautiful:)
I've just nominated you for the "One Lovely Blog" award! I think your blog is awesome

Hi, Mari! After reading your excellent offering and viewing your wonderful photo, I decided to "take the plunge" and participate! Let me know what you think!!
I agree, Debra - I've had enough rip tides in my life :D
Hi Kriti, I hope so too! :D
Gosh! Thank you so much!
What a beautiful picture! You have a lovely blog!!
Thanks for leaving a comment on Wan Maznah's blog on my guest post on Cauliglower-lychee curry. I am happy that you loved the photographs. Looking forward to your forthcoming posts!
Those lines are very true. Uncertainty and trust. Sometimes I when I think of life, it opens up more questions and more questions than answers. I am not sure if I can ever find the answers. Your picture is very perfect for the poem.
Ocean brings questions and more unanswered questions. I always love to just sit by the sea and listen to the waves and try to solve all the problems. It is very comforting.
Mari, I participated in this as well, and I thought I commented on your wonderful piece and your photograph, but perhaps I only dreamed I did. Check out my poem!
I absolutely agree Sailor. I love to sit by the ocean at night, in the dark, and listen to the waves crash on the beach.
Hi....Just wanted to say hello and wish you and your family a nice weekend!
